Born in Toronto in 1927, he has lived in Montreal, Jerusalem, Winnipeg, Vancouver, and currently lives in Dundas, Ontario, He has been asked to do fund raising work to benefit various charitable organizations. He says that painting has changed his life. Often, despite the plan he had when he has started a canvas, it seems the brush takes over, and has a will of its own.
