The paintings of Harris Gulko cut across artistic barriers, displaying many themes: landscapes, seascapes, cloud formations, abstracts, childhood games, beaches, bodies of water, scenic views and more. Born in Toronto in 1927, he has lived in Montreal, Jerusalem, Winnipeg, Vancouver, and currently lives in Dundas, Ontario, He has been asked to do fund raising work to benefit various charitable organizations. He says that painting has changed his life. Often, despite the plan he had when he has started a canvas, it seems the brush takes over, and has a will of its own.
